Dr. Barbara A. Terrel

Dr. Barbara A Terrel, 67, of Medford, New York, passed away on June 28, 2026. Born on February 25, 1959, Barbara lived a life marked by steady purpose, quiet strength, and a deep regard for the well-being of others.

A dedicated veterinarian at the Bay Shore Animal Clinic, Barbara brought compassion to her work each day, meeting both animals and the people who loved them with patience, care, and professionalism. Her hard work was more than a habit—it was a reflection of the responsibility she felt toward those who depended on her, and the standards she held for herself.

Beyond her career, Barbara’s generous spirit was evident in the simple joys she embraced and shared. An animal lover at heart, she also found peace in gardening and time spent in nature. She especially loved Halloween, a season that suited her appreciation for warmth, tradition, and moments of lightness.

Visitation will be held at Boyd-Caratozzolo Funeral Home, Towne Chapel, on July 7, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ss Cyril & Methodius RC Church, Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY, on July 8, 2026, from 11:15 am to 12:00 pm.

Barbara will be remembered with respect and gratitude—for the care she gave, the work she faithfully carried, and the generosity she offered in ways both seen and quietly felt.
