Anna,
I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. Based on our conversations ,she was a special lady that passed on several of her traits that I garnered from our days in the Army.
…A devoted family member with courage, strength, and sacrifice that will be everlasting.
As you always did with your Soldiers, you took care of her utilizing all your available recourses.
Be proud that you were with her until the end, as I can only imagine the depth of your grief.
I know you will miss her, but her spirit and memories will assist you in navigating what lies ahead.
Respectfully,
COL(Ret) Keith A Smith

Delfina will be greatly missed. Delfina, your influence as a teacher never truly ends, but rather lives on through those who you taught!

My dearest Fina. May you rest in paradise. I can never forget the first time we met. I was only 16 years of age and very naive. You embraced me with open arms. I’ll never forget the sisterly love, kindness and advice that has been instilled in me even to this day. You immediately accepted me as family which I’ll never forget. You will truly be missed.

I know for sure Mom is in heaven already. I only met her a few times and spoke to her over the phone . She was a bright kind woman. Born to be a mom for sure, she led her family through the challenges of life. Thank you for trusting me with some of your questions. I hope I was a help to you. God bless you.
