It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marie Alice Joseph daughter of Previus and Celeste Jocelyn . She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished member of our community,.. Born on March 2, 1936, in Haiti, She was one of nine children which is why family has always been so important to her. . Alice, as she liked to be called, lived a life filled with love, service, and adventure, leaving a lasting mark on all who knew her.

Alice's journey was as vibrant and dynamic as her spirit. Growing up, She never stayed in one place, traveling through Haiti, Guadeloupe, and the United States, where she created lasting memories and forged deep connections. Her warmth and kindness touched the hearts of many, and her presence was a blessing to countless lives. Although small in size, her heart and soul were as large as the biggest mountain. She was known to be firm and strict , yet at the same time , she loved to be playful and laugh.

As a wife, Alice was a devoted partner to her husband, Chassagne, whom she cared for through sickness and health . As a mother, she nurtured her children, Jean Marc and Madelaine, with boundless affection and wisdom. She raised Jean Charles as her son with unconditional love. Her joy was multiplied through her role as a grandmother to Moses, Emily, and Ethan, with whom she shared her stories, laughter, and cherished moments.

Alice 's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was an active and devoted member of her church, participating in the choir and the women’s group, where her voice and leadership inspired many. Her deep love for God was evident in her actions, as she extended her care and support to countless homes and families, playing a vital role in their lives.

Alice leaves behind her husband, Chassagne; her children, Jean Marc ,Madelaine;and Jean Charles. Her grandchildren, Moses, Emily, and Ethan; Nadege and Josette and their children. her sister Germina and her two nephews. She also leaves a legacy of love, faith, and kindness that will endure in the hearts of all who knew her.

We are here to celebrate her life and to honor her memory . To acknowledge the many lives she touched. and to also continue her legacy of service.

Marie Alice Joseph lived a life that exemplified love, resilience, and faith. Though she is no longer with us, her light will shine on in the hearts of those she loved and the countless lives she enriched.
