Bob Bonaspina and I coordinated the Locust Valley High School World Cultural and Global Awareness Week, a four-day Program, both in 1992 and in 1993. Bob in itiated the concept and basically organized the program with students, staff, parents, speakers and presenters on topics of the environment, world hunger, world peace, cultural heritage and cultural celebration open to everyone in the district.  These efforts were to satisfy the New York State Compact for Learning in Action.
Art was my students' involvement with large posters, flags, showcase displays, life-size displays, life-size Papier-Mache sculpture and so much more. Bob enlisted 33 cultural heritage booth displays presented by the students, staff and the Polish Museum and invited Delegates from at least three countries.  
Bob and I were elated with the response to these efforts and were able to present them at the 45th Annual Art Teachers Convention in Monticello, NY.
Bob, the memory of your energy, enthusiasm, patience, humor and hard work continues to be an inspiration.

I’m so sorry to learn of Mr B’s passing.  I was a student of his in the mid 90’s and I always remember his kindness and passion for teaching.  I saw him a year or so ago and he remembered exactly who I was and when he taught me! Sending so much love to his husband and his extended family.  He will be missed.

Bob - we will all miss you so much! You always made people smile and had the most energy in the room. Rod and all your friends will always remember your love, sense of humor, and advocacy. You always wanted to help others. We will continue to carry the torch.

So sorry to hear off  Bob's passing.  I taught Social Studies with Bob and retired from LVHS back in the 20th century. I will always remember when he won the lottery and he held a party for his friends and family.  I never knew his family was so talented.  He did purchase a new home, a new car, and a new dog. After a short time he called me and asked me if I would want another dog.  I already had 2 ;a Labrador retriever and a Rhodesian Ridgeback but I told Bob my wife had to approve.  We drove to his home that night and drove home with the Golden Retriever puppy.  Bob was one of a kind and he will be sorely missed.
