We were truly stunned when we heard about Walt. Our thoughts and prayers immediately went out to you and the boys. He was an amazing person and our chats with Walter around your kitchen table will be greatly missed. You have our sincerest sympathy.

Dear Eileen and boys, I was shocked and saddened by Walter's passing. I have a lot of good memories of the many times we met at their home in Dix Hills to make our crafts and just chat, many laughs and great times.
Our Thursdays were a great time and I do miss them. Eileen, I still make your soda bread and get many request for the recipe. Love & prayers to all the family.

Dear Aunt Eileen, Wally, Brian, and Jim,
We were so very very sad & shocked to hear about Uncle Walter's untimely passing. Uncle Walter was such a cool person. He was humble, but intelligent and - I've seen photos of his recent work - actuated. I loved that little twinkle he'd get in his eyes that seemed to express so much more than what he'd ever say.
Aunt Eileen, you and Uncle Walter were such a positive force in my childhood, and your relationship became a kind of a role model for me as an adult.
Our hearts go out to you all.

Mrs. Myers, Jim, Brian, and Walter,
It was very sad to hear the news about Mr. Myers, and Connie and I wish to send our thoughts and prayers to the family. He was a great man and dad. I will always have great memories of those long days at the Myers house when we were kids of non-stop sporting events followed by watching Ranger-Islander hockey games. Mr. Myers would watch us from a distance and quietly intervene when it got too rough (usually me getting pounded). I am sorry so much time has passed since I last saw him or the rest of the Myers clan. I'm sure he will be greatly missed.

Eileen, family and all who knew and loved Walt, there aren't any words to express how great a man he was and how he touched so many hearts. I pray that you find peace in your happy memories of him. He will never be far from my thoughts & prayers.

Eileen,Walter Jr,Brian,Jimmy and the entire Myers family,
I am just glad that I got to share one last beer with Walter sitting at his kitchen table in Sun City and looking over his latest woodworking projects which he knew I always admired and appreciated. He was a profoundly talented man with seemingly unlimited creativity and always as humble as could be with Cary Grant looks to boot.Wow,what a tough act to follow!
Me,Pat,Nicole and Brian are devastated by your loss. You are all in our prayers. Fred Callan

My dearest Donna and Wally. I did not have the privilege of meeting your dad, but I know Donna and Wally and knowing them gives me an idea of how great a man Walter is. I have seen Donna and Wally challenged and through the roughest times Wally showed this incredible quiet strength that I am sure he learned from his wonderful father. He will always live on through his family. I may not know you all, but I love you all. Be at peace because God has called him home.
