Angie (Valdez) Acosta, was born on May 30, 1953, in Tulare, California, to the late Jennie Castaneda and the late Reynaldo Valdez. Angie was a proud, dependable woman full of life.

Angie graduated from Porterville College with an associate’s degree. For more than 40 years, she played an integral part in the development of future generations. Serving as an educator for the Richgrove School District until retiring in 2016. However, that wasn’t the end, the school knew they couldn’t let her go, they asked her back the next year. Loving her job so much Angie agreed to come back part time.

While working with other kids was important, Angie’s first love and true passion were her own children and family. Everyone knew mom was happiest with her Diet Pepsi, scratchers and the grandchildren. She also loved dressing up every year for Halloween and serving as family Santa.

Angie loved to dance while sticking her tongue out, making people laugh and of course serving as the family cheerleader. She was always front in center at the sporting events, dance recitals and plays that her family was involved in. At the young age of 64, Angie left us too soon, on April 27, 2018 in Delano, California.

Angie was preceded in death by her son, Raul Marquez. She is survived by her sons, Manuel and Juan Acosta; daughters, Tanya Acosta, Joanna Mosqueda, and Desiree Marquez. Angie is survived by four siblings, Eleanor Castro, Maria Giron, Ray Valdez, and Bobbi Garcia; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

To The Family:
Thank you for sharing Angie with me. It was a blessing working with her these years. I pray that each day your heart will heal with the memories that she left behind. I will surely miss the laughs, smiles and just the talks that we had. I know that this is not goodbye forever, but a see you later. The Lord has promised that to us.

Until we meet again Angie.

Love and Miss You Dearly
