

Arnel Benitez Aguil was known as many things to many people. He was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew him best, Arnel will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Arnel was born on August 25, 1963 in The Philippines. He is the son of Arturo and Rosie Aguil. Arnel grew up in Earlimart but later moved to Delano where he resided for 20+ years.
Arnel was raised with 2 siblings. He had two younger sisters, Arlene and his late baby sister Rowena. Arnel was usually involved in all sorts of activities with his siblings. He and his siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young boy, Arnel had a number of interests. Arnel was an active child who took part in wrestling, boxing and mixed martial arts. However, to Arnel, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with his friends.
Arnel worked hard to be a good father to his children and he did his best to fulfill their needs. Arnel was blessed with 5, Two sons, his late son Arnel Jr. and youngest Joseph, and three daughters, Jennifer, Savannah and Andrea. Another blessing for Arnel was the gift of 2 granddaughters, Aurie and Kaydyn.
Arnel enjoyed his leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. His favorite pursuits were raising unique breeds of game fowl, cooking and dancing the night away with friends and family. He was content to enjoy his favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share his interests with others.
Arnel passed away on February 21, 2017 at Hoffman Hospice House of Bakersfield. Arnel fought a brave battle against cancer. He is survived by his children Jennifer, Savannah, Andrea and Joseph, his grandchildren Aurie and Kaydyn, his sister Arlene and his parents Arturo and Rosie. Services were held at Delano Mortuary on March 3rd, 2017 from 4pm-8pm.
Simply stated, Arnel was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by his family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Arnel leaves behind him a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life he touched will always remember Arnel Benitez Aguil.
