Bertha G. Penalver

Bertha G. Penalver, a beloved resident of Bakersfield, California, passed away on November 14, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on April 11, 1950, in California, Bertha was cherished by her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Johnny M. Penalver Jr., and her daughters, Lisa Marie Martinez and Yolanda Eloisa Blackmon. Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny C. Penalver Sr., her father, Lorenzo Garcia, and her mother, Elvira Garcia. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Delano, located at 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215, on December 10, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. The committal service will follow at North Kern District Cemetery, 627 Austin St., Delano, CA 93215, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.

Pallbearers will include Ricardo Martinez Jr., David P. Marquez, Justine Anthony Martinez, Johnny Manual Penalver, Rico Marquez, Jose Angel Garcia, and Ricardo Martinez Sr.

Bertha will be remembered for her loving nature and the profound impact she had on those around her.
