Well Brother, we sent you off today.  I think you would have been happy to see all your old friends, compadre, and family there.  Amelia did a great job with the rosary, the pall bearers did a great job (and they didn't even drop you once!), and I think you might have been proud of your big brother for the music we sang for you.  You always told me I should try out for this or that, ha ha.  I miss you although you know you could be a pain in the you know where.  I am so proud of you for leaving us the way you did.  You know what I would ask you every time I talked to you and you would answer, "yes I am Ben". I would also ask if you had prayed that day because I needed the help too.  I would tell you not just to pray for yourself, but for the ones you loved, and you would say you prayed for me too.   I am most proud of you because by you answering me that way, I knew you had given up your old life and gave yourself to the Lord and He had embraced you.  I would like to think that after all the pain and suffering you went thru the last three months you turned to God for forgiveness and love.  I think the good Lord saw that He finally had you and said "Danny, I can take you now." I am so glad and happy for you.   I love you and miss you but I know you are with Mom and Pops, Eddie, Gloria Jean, and the rest of our family.        Good bye, Brother

Hi Danny, how is everyone up in heaven?  Who's going to let me know what's going on?  Now you won't be able to tell anyone on earth I wrecked your car, just those in heaven.  I didn't mean it, I don't even remember what happened.  It was only a little fender bender.  Anyway, you still loved your little sister.  When the Steelers play I will wave the Terrible Towel, unless it's Da' Bears.  All the little nieces and nephews, and the older ones too will miss their Uncle Danny.  I love and miss you and all the popcorn you used to make.

Uncle, I remember when I used to watch the TV shows about building custom motorcycles and was amazed at the designs. I never imagined being able to do that type of work. Then you helped me get started on my dream by showing me the basics and helping me get advice from the pros. I always remembered that you helped me get my foot in the door for painting and you had helped me any way you could. I appreciate your help and will never forget the support you gave. Thank you for being a great uncle. You will be greatly missed. Your nephew, Matt

Hey Danny,  what happened, I just talked to you before noon?  I'm glad I was home and got to talk to you, although now it wasn't long enough.  I'm sorry you had to go through these last few months of pain the way you did, but you had accepted everything the doctors did to try and help.  I've been sad and try not to cry, but as you know when Mom went to heaven last June we were really, really sad.  Steve could not believe what happened and will miss you rooting for your Steelers.  Maybe Mom asked God to take you up to heaven.  She probably didn't want you to hit me on the head again (laugh).  Oh Danny, now who is going to call and bug me and say "I love you too"?  Tell Mom, Dad, Eddie and sister Gloria Jean we love them.
