He was preceded in death by his parents, John Mack Brown (Maria Luisa Lopez Martinez), and his sister, Lisa Brown.

He is survived by his brothers, Joel Carrejo, Daniel Martinez, Adam Martinez, Tony Martinez, and Adrian Martinez, and his sisters, Diana Ruiz and Eva Maybee.

He is also survived by his children, Valerie Brown (Rafael A. Hernandez), Juanita G. Brown (Carlos Medina), Amber M. Brown (Emmanuel Jesus Duran), and David J. Brown Jr., and by his grandchildren, Esteban G. Mancilla, Jonathan I. Mancilla, Jazlin M. Mancilla, Nova M. Hernandez, Myah R. Hernandez, Zaiden Medina, Ezra James Duran, and Amaya Mila Duran.
