Efren Leyva Venegas, age 73, of Shafter, California passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. Efren was born November 6, 1948 in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico to Mary Leyva Venegas and Alfonso Venegas.
Efren is survived by his wife, Velen Venegas; his daughter Veronica Olmos; and his son Efren Venegas Jr.; his brother Raul Venegas, his brother Gonzalo Venegas, his brother Edward Venegas, his sister Emma V. Gutierrez and his sister Alicia V. Villavicencio.
Efren was preceded in death by his mother Mary Leyva Venegas and his father Alfonso Venegas; his first wife Velma Alba Venegas; his sister Anna Venegas and his brother Alfonso Venegas Jr.; his grandson Elek Venegas, and his nephew Benny Venegas.
A visitation for Efren will be held Monday, May 23, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM at Delano Mortuary, 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215. A rosary will occur Monday, May 23, 2022 at 4:00 PM, 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1015 Clinton St., Delano, CA 93215. A committal service will occur Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at North Kern District Cemetery, 627 Austin St., Delano, CA 93215.
Serving as pallbearers are Efren A. Venegas, Erik Venegas, Marc Venegas, Brandon Alba, Alonzo Salmeron, Cesar Garcia , Edward Venegas, Gonzalo Venegas, Raul Venegas Sr. and Fermin Nunez Jr..
