

Virginia was born December 16, 1948, in Lecompte, Louisiana. She lived a life that is meaningful because of her compassion for others, generously giving of her time and talents, and her love of caring for those in need. Throughout her life, she found joy in working as a registered nurse, volunteering in her community, and sponsoring children through World Vision. Most importantly, she brought joy to her family and friends by loving us without reservation; making us feel valued as individuals.
Virginia is survived by her children Rene Alejandro of Louisiana and Cecelia (Cissy) Soriano of California; by her grandchildren Brian Alejandro of Louisiana, Andrew Soriano of California, Matthew Soriano of Alaska, James Soriano of Alaska, and Cory Alejandro of Oklahoma; and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by the love of her life Harry Alejandro; her parents Homer Wilson and Dorothy Comeaux; and her siblings Wayne Dearman and Ray Dearman.
A memorial honoring the life of Virginia will be held on July 16, 2026, 5:00-8:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Delano located at 707 Browning Road in Delano, Ca. A Catholic Mass will be held in Virginia's memory on July 17, 2026, 2:00-3:00pm at St. Mary's Church located at 916 Lexington in Delano, Ca. with graveside services to follow.
In lieu of flowers or plants, Virginia requested prior to her death to consider making a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital OR sponsoring a child through World Vision.
Virginia will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched.
