Mary was the seventh of nine children of Shock Harry and Lee Shee Wong and was the first of their children to be born in the United States. In 1960, she married Mike Armendariz (1938-1998) in Los Angeles and in 1969 moved to and spent the rest of her life in Delano happily and lovingly watching her family grow around her.
She is survived by her children Suzan, Sandra, Sherlyn (Gary), Stacy (Bruce), Salina, and Michael; grandchildren Elizabeth, Tyler (Anthony), Cristina, Jared, and Sophia; great-grandchildren London, Vada, Sebastian and Mavis; and companion Rudy.
She will forever be remembered not only by her immediate and extended family but by the hundreds of friends she cultivated throughout her happy and fruitful life.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Delano Mortuary, followed by committal service at North Kern District Cemetery in Delano, CA.
