Marcel Darapiza Viduya, 45, was born on September 20, 1980, in Dagupan City, Sison Pangasinan, Philippines, and passed away on May 22, 2026. He later made his home in Delano, California, where he became a steady presence to those who knew and loved him.
From his early years, Marcel’s life reflected a quiet strength shaped by change and perseverance. Born in the Philippines and raised in Delano, he attended Richgrove Elementary School in 1995 and graduated from Delano High School in 1999. In those school years, he found enjoyment in soccer and basketball—interests that stayed with him through a lifelong love of watching basketball and football. He also enjoyed singin, a simple joy that carried warmth into everyday moments.
Marcel worked with diligence and humility, taking on roles as a warehouseman, in general merchandise, as a field worker, and as a forklift driver. Through honest work and adaptability, he provided for those he loved, offering not only effort but also a steady willingness to do what was needed.
A man of faith, Marcel was associated with Jehovah Witnesses, and his life reflected a sincere desire to encourage others. He was known as loving and deeply caring—someone understanding in spirit, often ready to help, to comfort, and to stand beside family, relatives, and friends with patience and tenderness. His sacrifices were not announced; they were simply lived, in the everyday ways that build a life of meaning.
Marcel is survived by his spouse, Mercy Ferrer Viduya; his son, Marcley Viduya; and his daughter, Merycle Viduya.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the following for their love, support, and presence: Parents: Mario & Arceli Viduya; Siblings: Crystal & Mark Abbott, Goldie & David Pope; Brother's and Sister's: Ernesto Gabriel, Wilson Vasquez, Micah Lipayon, Ernesto Herras, June Parilla, Ignacio Pina and Jehovah Witness Family, Friends and relatives.
