

Mary was born December 21, 1923 in Cutler, CA, to Vincent B. and Bonica Zaninovich of Earlimart, CA. She attended grammar school in Cutler, CA, moving on to Reedly High School, upon moving to Earlimart she graduated from Delano High School in 1942. Mary continued her education to graduate from Notre Dame College in Belmont, CA. where she made lifelong friends. On January 1, 1951 she married her husband Chester Bruszewski of 65 years.
Mary was a long-time resident of Delano, CA. and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Soroptismist International of Delano. Her greatest joy was raising her daughters and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and working crossword puzzles.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brother John V. Zaninovich and niece Joann Zaninovich Tudor.
She is survived by her husband Chester Bruszewski; daughters Debra Podesta and husband Dennis of Santa Cruz, CA, Marian Souder and husband Jim of Mtn. Grove, MO, Karen Dilwith and husband Rick of Oxnard, CA, Barbara McPherson and husband Don of Kingsburgh, CA, Patty Bruszewski of Fairfax, CA; two brothers Andrew Zaninovich and wife Stella and Antone (Tony) Zaninovich and wife Katherine; also surviving are eight grandchildren, Andrea Podesta Hutson, Victor Podesta, Jennifer Souder Bullman, Julie Souder Voyles, Scott Goodwin, Andrew (Andy) Goodwin, Melissa McPherson Warmerdam, and Craig McPherson; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Although her time with us could never have been enough, she has left us much love and warm memories. . . . . .

A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 4pm until 6 pm followed by a rosary at 6 pm at Delano Mortuary. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016, at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and burial at Delano Cemetery.
