Mellie "Melchora" R. Necer

Melchora Ribubuet Necer also known as Mellie passed away on May 7, 2014 at the age of 88 with a short illness. She died peacefully surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Mellie was preceded in the death of her husband on Feb. 4, 1996. She was born on January 6, 1926 in San Vicente, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. Her parents were: Cirilo Ribubuet and Petra Rodillas. Mellie came to Delano, CA. with her husband Jose Necer Sr. in May 6, 1981. Mellie was a hardworking mother who loved gardening. She was married on May 16, 1946 in Luna, La Union, Philippines. Mellie was blessed with 8 children: 5 sons: Catalino, Chris, Gil, Arsenio, and Jose Necer, Jr.; 3 daughters: Lety, Zenaida, and Estela. Her son-in-laws: Merlin Sorbito and Rodolfo Olpindo. Her daughter-in-laws: Elizabeth(deceased), Amalia, Agripina, and Rosemarie. She also had 13 grandchildren: Russell Jose, Roel, Eric, Bryan, Aaron John, Angelo, Alex, Lucky Fortune, Kimberly, Kathleen, Lauren, and Hayley. She also had 7 great grandchildren: Dominic, Matthew, Jaythan, Jayven, Caden, Zoey, and Aiko. She is survived by her older sister Trinidad R. Pastores who resides in the Philippines.

Viewing to be on Friday, May 16, 2014 followed by the Rosary officiated by Rev. Tancredo Pastores Jr. Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at St. Mary's church in Delano, CA. Internment at North Kern District Cemetery, Delano, CA. Reception to follow at Kong's Dynasty.
