Michael Gordon Turner, beloved son, father, and grandfather, passed away on November 15, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on October 1, 1941, in Delano, California, Michael spent his life enriching the lives of those around him.
Residing in Bakersfield, California, Michael leaves behind a loving family. He is survived by his daughters, Leslie Turner Mylett and Felicia Ashlock, along with his grandchildren, Declan Mylett, Claire Mylett, Mason Ashlock, and Morgan Ashlock. He is also remembered by his sister-in-law, Carolyn Turner, nephew, Kirk Turner, and niece, Ronda Callaway. Michael's legacy continues through his great nieces and nephews: Nicole Callaway, Courtney Callaway, Kolby Turner, and Kira Turner, as well as his great-great niece and nephews: Bentley James Turner, Amelia Rose Turner, and Jalen Jace Medina.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Delia May Turner and Ira Turner (Bub), and his brother, Ronald Neil Turner.
Visitation will be held on December 11, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Funeraria Del Angel Delano, 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215. Following the visitation, a committal service will take place from 11:00 am to 11:30 am at North Kern District Cemetery, 627 Austin St., Delano, CA 93215.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tommy Mylet, Declan Mylett, Duke Ashlock, Mason Ashlock, Kirk Turner, Kolby Turner, Steve Turner, Barry Saunders, Jerry Campbell, Dennis Scott, Mort Wallace, Dick Duiri, and Dick Montgomery.
Michael Gordon Turner will be dearly missed by his family and a large circle of friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
