Nancy Mila Carpio

Nancy Mila Carpio, 69, passed away on July 6, 2026. Born November 18, 1956, Nancy’s life was a testament to steady love, endurance, and the quiet strength of someone who gave of herself without hesitation. She was a beloved and cherished presence—kind-hearted, thoughtful, and compassionate in ways that were felt most deeply by the people who had the good fortune to be close to her.

Nancy’s story began with a childhood in Pepeekeo, Hawaii, and roots in the Philippines—origins that shaped a resilient spirit and a lifelong devotion to family. Through every season of life, she carried herself with a gentle warmth and a giving heart, offering comfort and care in the everyday moments that matter most.

For most of her life, Nancy worked hard in agricultural farm labor, including grapes, Foster Farms, and Halos (most recent). Her work reflected her character: dependable, selfless, and steady—someone who showed love not only through words, but through effort, persistence, and doing what needed to be done.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Celso & Aurelia Agbayani; her husband, Edward Carpio; and her sibling Renato. She is survived by her siblings Thelma, Salvador (Juliet), Jimmy (Theresa), Jr. Celso (Lindsey), Rose, and Steven (Sheena Kobayashi). She is also survived by her children, Eddie (Rowena) and Heather (Andy Evangelista), and by the grandchildren she adored: Kiele (25), Memphis (14), Cohlt (9), Marcus (15), Logan (13), and Sophia (8).

Nancy found joy in the simple pleasures that brought people together—karaoke, going to the casino, going to parties, and spending time with friends and family. Her love for her grandchildren was unmistakable, and her care for others showed up in the most practical, generous ways: always willing to help cook, always willing to drive for friends, always ready to lend a hand.

The family extends a special thank you to the Mendoza family, Rasay family, and Minel family and her extended family and friends in the Delano Community for their support after the death of her husband, Edward Carpio.

Above all, Nancy leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to echo in the lives she touched. We will forever miss her smile, her laugh, and her jokes—bright reminders of a life that lifted others up simply by being fully, warmly, and faithfully present.
