Sally C. De La Rosa, age 89, of Delano, California passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, June 6, 2021. Sally was born May 12, 1932 in Los Angeles, California to Deluvina Alvarez and Augustine V. Alvarez.
Sally is survived by son Jerry De La Rosa (Victoria De La Rosa); daughter Teresa Kurtz (Tom Kurtz); daughter Yolanda Ross (Fred Ross); daughter Sammy De La Rosa Jr. (Corey De La Rosa); and son Steven De La Rosa.
Sally was preceded in death by her husband Samuel De La Rosa Sr.; father Augustine V. Alvarez and mother Deluvina Alvarez.
A visitation for Sally will be held Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Delano Mortuary, 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215. A rosary will occur Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 9:00 AM, 707 Browning Rd., Delano, CA 93215. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1015 Clinton St., Delano, CA 93215. A committal service will occur Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at North Kern District Cemetery, 627 Austin St., Delano, CA 93215.
Serving as pallbearers are Camilo Castillo, Tom Kurtz, Gerald Alvarez, Justin Alvarez, Anthony Gabaldon, Richard De La Rosa, Nick De La Rosa and Pete Nebre.
