Bobby was born at home on Tuesday, October 14, 1930, the son of William Arthur Clontz and Minnie M. Davis Clontz. He married Lois Ann Means December 31, 1960 - he said he had to wait 30 years to find the right girl. Lois was 17; 53 plus years later, only death could separate them.
Bobby was #5 of six boys. Marion, Erman, Wesley and Paul Gene preceded him in death. Carlos and Loretta Clontz still live at Scurry, Texas. There are many nieces, nephews and many cousins.
He worked as a telegraph lineman for the Katy Railroad for seven years, then his first love, carpentry, working with wood. He worked for J. B. Sims Construction 33 years. He was raised Baptist and was a deacon. He believed anyone that accepted Jesus as Savior was his brother or sister in the Lord – no denominations needed.
