Barney C. Quinn

A native of Oretta, he was a member of the National Guard. Mrs. Quinn was a pipefitter for the construction industry. He loved to play his guitar. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Maggie Quinn of Oretta; sons, Barry Quinn and wife Jennifer of Nuevo, Ca., Hugh Quinn and wife Michelle of San Bernadino, Ca., and Johnny Burnett and wife Shonda of DeQuincy; daughter, Beverly Doyle and husband Wesley of Oretta; brother Karo Quinn; sisters, Comolette Murdough of Sulphur, Altha Elliott of Westlake, and Freda Cornner of Oretta; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lottie Quinn; 2 brothers, Richar and Percy Quinn; granddaughter, Natasha Burnett and great granddaughter Chelci Reed. His funeral will be at 11:00a.m., Monday, March 4, 2013 in Oretta Pentecostal Church. Rev. Loyd Parker will officiate. Burial will be in Oretta Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 3 from 3:00-9:00p.m. at Hixson Snider Funeral Home Chapel and resume on Monday at 10:00a.m. until service time at the church.
