Carrie Belle "Tinker" Bass

Starks, Carrie Belle (Tinker) Bass, 85, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Bass was born to Martin and Bernetta Addison in Starks, La. where she lived all her life. She was married to Ray Bass for 66 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Starks where she worked in nursery for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister, 6 brothers and a grandson. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years Ray Bass; daughter, Carolyn Kay Gearen & husband Mike; son, Raylen Bass & wife Elaine; grandson, Shane Fountain & wife Wendi; granddaughter, Danielle Simien & husband Patrick and numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

Her funeral will be at 2:00pm Monday, August 22, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Starks. Bro. Ron Butler will officiate. Burial will be in Doyle Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 21 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm and will resume on Monday at 12:00 until service time at the church.
