DeQuincy - Carroll J. "Buck" Marcantel, 75, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in a local hospital.
Born in DeQuincy, Mr. Marcantel was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was also a charter member of VFW 3802, the DeQuincy Jaycees and the DeQuincy Sheriff's Possee. He was a US Navy Veteran, owned Singer Rodeo Club and was a retired Boilmaker with Local 79.
Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Marcantel of DeQuincy; 4 sons, Mike, Brantley, Teal and Craig; 3 brothers, Cotton, Ronnie and Jack Marcantel of DeQuincy and 8 grandchildren.
His funeral will be at 2:00pm Friday, January 16, 2015 in New Hope Baptist Church with the Robert Marcantel, Kace Marcantel and Roland Hebert officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 15, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm and will resume on Friday at 11:00am until service time at the church.
