She loved reading books, working outside, landscaping, writing poems, and looking up at the stars for hours. Most of all, she loved to sing, especially to Oaklynn, her granddaughter; and her two daughters, Destiny and Ashley. I’m sure she drove Rodger crazy singing around the house. She had a big heart and wanted to help anyone no matter the circumstances in their life.
Chasity is survived by her husband, Rodger; Bonnie (their dog); daughters, Destiny Mock, Ashley Novella and husband Ryan Kirkwood; granddaughter, Oaklynn of Port Matilda, PA; brother, John VanWinkle and wife JaDene of Buna, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; parents, Bubba and Patty VanWinkle.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Orvel VanWinkle, George and Winona McKnight, and Florence VanWinkle; and her mother-in-law, Hallie Cooley.
A Graveside Celebration of Chasity’s life will be held on Friday, February 28, 2020 at 11:00am, at Riley Smith Memorial Park Cemetery. Officiating will be Bro. Rodney Paul Mazilly, Bro Paul Nugent, and Bro Harry Methvin. Services entrusted to Jordan and Amanda Mothershed of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home.
