Cleda Morine Thomas

Cleda Morine Thomas, 83, of DeQuincy, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on January 27, 1934 in Burnet County, TX. She loved flowers, gardening, baking and cooking, doing word searches, her daily walks, her time spent at church with her fellow church family, and enjoyed camping and traveling with her husband. She loved her Lord and Savior and was a faithful Christian. Cleda loved her family and grandchildren more than anything.

She is survived by her three daughters, Gloria Gaydos and husband Frank of Canyon Lake, TX, Rhonda Boysen and husband Steve of Mount Juliet, TN, Jamie Chargois and husband Ronnie of Sulphur, LA, daughter-in-law, Margaret Thomas of DeQuincy, sisters, Cassie Simpson of Amarillo, TX, Ethel Watts and husband Velton of Leander, TX, Doris Whitley of Belton,TX, sister-in-laws, Sarah Clark of Marble Falls, TX, Phil Hart of Monroe, LA, Phyllis Smith of Biloxi, MS, along with a brother-in-law, Tommy Estes of Rockport, TX. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank Thomas and their son, Franklin Thomas both of DeQuincy, her parents, Floyd and Rosie Hart, along with granddaughter, Ashley Gamble of Houston, TX.

Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the DeQuincy Church of Christ with Pastor Gary Selby officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday at the church, from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery.
