Donald W Shoemake

Donald went to be with his savior, Jesus Christ, at 11:30 am on January 30, 2016 surrounded by his family.

He served 10 years in the U.S. Coastguard and worked 32 years with Basell Corporation until his retirement.

He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and served as treasurer and Sunday School teacher for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Brenda Royer Shoemake, two sons Mike Shoemake and wife Beth of Purcell, Ok., John and Julie Shoemake of Jonesboro, La., three grandchildren Terra, Amber, and Tracey, and two great grandsons Britt and Wyatt., brothers and their wives Colby and Lenore Shoemake, Kelly and Madge Shoemake, and sister Mary Shoemake Dollar and Ken

Donald is preceded in death by his parents John and Eual Shoemake, brothers Johnny and Glenn Shoemake, and sister Mildred Miller.

Funeral services will be Monday February 1, 2016 at 2pm, at Northside Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery. Visitation was at Hixson – Snider Funeral Home from 5pm – 9pm on Sunday and will resume Monday from 12pm till time of service.
