DeQuincy, Evelyn Franklin, 56, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 in her residence.
Born in DeQuincy, she lived here all her life. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Jessie Ray Franklin; 2 daughters, Kimberly Diane Perkins of DeRidder and Sherry Lynn Franklin of Lake Charles; son, Robert Franklin of Tennessee; sisters, JoAnn Cooley of Singer and Jackie Rose Smith of DeQuincy; brother, Terry Perkins of DeQuincy and 5 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles Murphy Perkins and Betty Jo Stampley Perkins; brothers, Carl Lee Stampley and Lynn Stampley
Her funeral will be at 11:00am, Saturday, August 2, 2014, in Hixson Snider Funeral Home with Rev. Clark Henry Rainwater, Jr. and Rev. Clyde Clark officiating. Burial will be in Perkins Cemetery.
