Gertrude Catherine LaCour

DeQuincy - Gertrude Catherine LaCour, 89, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 at a local care center.

She was a native of Alexandria, La. and had lived in this area for 2 & 1/2 years. Mrs. LaCour was Catholic and a member of St. Rita's. She was an air force wife and loved bowling, cooking and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Caroline (Schurzinger)Lindauer; husband Henry John Lacour and son Henry Jean Lacour. Survivors include her sons, Darryle LaCour and wife Lisa of Pineville, La. and Dennis LaCour of Nashville, Tn.; daughters, Karen Kroger and husband Edward of DeQuincy, La. and Yvone LaCour of Alexandria, La.; brothers, Harold Neuhoff of Huntingburg, In. and Alfred Neuhoff of Ia.; Sister, Ruth Werder of Huntingburg, In.; 15 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be at 1:00p.m.Saturday, February 8, 2014 in Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church with Father Jude Brunnert, MS officiating. Burial will be in Fort Hudson Cemetery in Zachary, La. on Monday, February 10, 2014. Visitation will be on Friday, February 7, from 1:00p.m. until 6:00p.m. and resume on Saturday, February 8, at 8:00a.m. until time of service at Hixson Snider Funeral Home Chapel.
