Hazel Elizabeth Bunch, 80, of Sulphur, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at her residence. She was born on January 29, 1938 in DeQuincy to her late parents, George and Lucy Bell. She loved to go fishing and hunting with her husband, and enjoyed to crochet. Hazel was a good truck driver and would drive the truck and trailer through the hay field. She loved to sing in the choir at Pine Grove Baptist church and loved gospel music. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her sons.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 62 years, Talbert Bunch; two sons, Winston Bunch, Carlton Bunch, both of DeQuincy; one brother, Barney Bell of DeQuincy; sister-in-laws, Doris Ivey of DeQuincy, Judy Bunch of Sulphur; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Hazel is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Laymon Bell.
Services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Hixson Snider Funeral Home of DeQuincy with Rev. Ron Sherer and Rev. Jordan Doyle officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson Snider Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 from 5:00-9:00pm and will resume on Thursday, from 9:00am until the time of the service.
