Jan Marie Katherine (Fafard) Burnsed

Jan Marie Katherine Burnsed, 54, of Singer, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2019 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. She was born to her late parents, Francis and Marjorie Fafard on May 9, 1965. Jan enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and daughter and son-in-law, who she loved very much. She loved crafting, the mountains, playing with Rosco (her beloved dog), and making people laugh.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Underwood and husband Gary of Singer; two brothers, Tilden Fafard and wife Denise of Trinidad, Colorado, Stephen Bingham of Houston, TX; along with three grandchildren, Christopher Sanders Jr., Sara Underwood, and Kara Underwood.

Jan is preceded in death by her three late husbands, Dana Burnsed, Julius "Dingus" Marcantel, James Suchanek; along with one brother, Paul Fafard.

A Celebration of Jan's life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 3:00pm. Visitation will begin at the funeral home on Saturday at 2:00pm until the time of the Celebration. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonsnider.com.
