Jesse Robert Franks

Jesse was born to wonderful parents, Leonard Walter and Iva Marie Spears Franks in Oakdale, La. on March 6, 1951. He married Cynthia Paulette (Cindi) Wylie on November 3, 1973. To this marriage came two beautiful sons, Jared Heath and Jonathon Luke and two precious grand- daughters, Addison Brooke and Layla Jolie. Jesse was so proud of his family. He was a Christian and loved God, the Church of Christ and his family. He loved people and all creatures great and small. He was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening, a truly lover of everything God gave in nature. He started raising eggs as a child in a family business, later worked as a welder, pipefitter and the last eight years of his career he was a heavy equipment operator for H.B. Zachary. Jesse was burdened if he knew someone was not a Christian and took it to God in prayer, even though he might only know them casually.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, James Ray Franks, Sr. and Charles Jennings, Sr. He is survived by his loving family, sweet mother-in-law Amber Louise Wylie, Jared's Fiancee Lauren Camille Cooper, one sister JoAnn Franks Bohannon and husband Tom of DeQuincy and Waco, Tx and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and family.

Receiving of friends will be at the DeQuincy Church of Christ between 4-8pm on Sunday, March 2, 2014. The funeral service will be at 11am on Monday March 3 and receiving of friends prior to the service beginning at 9am. Burial will be at Bivens Cemetery following the service.
