Funeral services for JoeAnn Alexander,75, of Downsville, LA will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday August 22, 2018 at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in DeQunicy, LA with Rev. Paul Jussen officiating. Interment will be at Royer Cemetery under the direction of Hixon-Snider Funeral Home, Dequincy, LA.
JoeAnn passed on August 18,2018 at Arbor Lake Nursing Home, Farmerville, La. She was a devout Catholic and prayed her Rosary daily. JoeAnn was a floral designer and a past member of the Louisiana Florist Association. She was loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She also enjoyed hunting with her family and friends.
JoeAnn is preceded in death by parents Joseph Corner, mother Leona Hebert, & step-father Edley Hebert; her husband of 44 years, Charles Ray Alexander; daughter, Catheline Denise Alexander.
Survivors include her five daughters, Christine Cosby (Mark), Cindy Alford, Carla Walters (Frank), Charlene Black, Clara Elee (Jason); Sister, Emma Bauer (Ronnie); 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers: Kyle Williams, Steve Wilson, Borden Ellender, Alvin Billoit, Jordan Jones, and David Bauer.
First visitation will be from 5 - 8 PM, Monday, August 20th at Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive West Monroe, La and from 5 - 8 PM Tuesday, August 21, 2018, with Rosary at 7:00 PM at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home, DeQuincy, LA.
