John Keith Brown, 79, of DeQuincy, passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at his residence. He was born to his late parents, Charlie and Dorothy Brown on March 23, 1942 in DeQuincy, LA. He enjoyed hunting, beekeeping, fishing, four wheel riding, working in his yard, and camping. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his four sons, Evan Brown of DeQuincy, Sheldon Brown and wife Janna of Orangefield, TX, Jason Brown of Meridian, MS, and Regan Brown and wife Melisa of Sulphur; three brothers, Carol Brown and wife Annette, Jerry Brown and wife Carolyn, Doug Brown and wife Janice, all of DeQuincy; one sister, Marie Brown of Baton Rouge; eight grandchildren, Joey, Taelor, Meredith, Hannah, Brooke, Jack, Kylie, and Kolby; along with two great grandchildren, Hazley and Aniston.
John is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Barbara Brown.
Services will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at 10:00am, with Bro. Dwayne Hyatt officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 8:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Masonic Cemetery.
