Lamar Greene Williams, 98, passed peacefully to his heavenly home on October 31, 2016. He was born April 3, 1918 and was raised in Oakdale, LA. He was very active in the Ragley United Pentecostal Church for most of his life and his later years were spent in Ivanhoe, TX. He was very of his service in the United States Navy in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents Rush and Willie Williams. Also, two brothers Otho and Rush Williams, and sister Grace Sims. He was preceded in death by three wives.
Lamar leaves behind several nieces, along with step children and step grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Cryer Cemetery in Oakdale, LA at 2:00pm. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
