

Lloyd was a long time member of the VFW; he enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved to tinker with engines and cars. He was a very hard worker and worked as a boiler maker in the plants for many years.
He is preceded in death by both parents; Henry and Lena Simmons, three brothers; T.L. Simmons, H.B. Simmons and Dalvin Simmons, one sister; Elsie Villamez,
He is Survived by one daughter; Debbie Smith and husband Johnny of Singer, LA, one son; Lloyd Gene Simmons and wife Linda Kay of DeQuincy, LA., his lifelong friend and companion; Mable Fraizer., three brothers; Henry B. Simmons of Dequincy, LA, Leroy Simmons of Nashville, Tenn Ottis Hoosier and wife Diane of Vidor, TX, along with five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, May 29, 2015 at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy, LA from 5:00pm-9:00pm and will resume on Saturday from 9:00am until time of Service.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 30, 2015 11:00am at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home with a burial to follow at Good Hope Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
