Margaret May "Peggy" Sutton

DeQuincy – Margaret “Peggy” Sutton, 81, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at a local hospital.

A native of Rochester, Pa, Mrs.Sutton came to DeQuincy area for 35 years ago from Freeport, Tx. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and loved gardening, sewing and jigsaw puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Elizabeth West; brother Howard West and grandson Jonathan Winnick. Survivors include her husband Rev. Duane Sutton; son, Paul D. Sutton and wife Shirley of Argyle, Tx.; daughter, Crystal Marie Winnick and husband Eddie of Arlington, Tx.; sister Debbie Morrison and husband Glen of Apple Spring, Tx.; grandchildren, Nicole & Greg Pitre, Blair & Landon Sides, Blake Winnick, Jared & Stephanie Sutton and Jeff & Kim Sutton; great grandchildren, Grant and Gavin Pitre and Elijah Sutton

Her funeral service will be at 1:00p.m., Wednesday, April, 17, 2013 in New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Roland Hebert officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Snider Funeral Home. Visitiation will be on Tuesday, from 6:00 til 9:00p.m. in the church.
