Mildred Lorenz Leal, of Houston, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital in Houston, TX. She was born to her late parents, Theodore and Mary Lorenz on February 22, 1945 in Lake Charles, LA. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed going to her vacation home in Oretta, where she loved getting to visit with her kinfolks. Mildred was known for her strange gifts and loved getting a laugh out of it.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Robert Leal; one son, Patrick Leal and wife Karen of Houston, TX; one brother, Jerry Lorenz of Oretta; three sisters, Dorothy Fowler and husband Eugene of Ragley, Evelyn Cooley and husband Allen of DeRidder, Agnes Franklin of Oretta; along with four grandchildren, Jacob, Kyla, Alice, and Max.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Genie Lorenz, Clarence Lorenz; and one sister, Lucille Engbrock.
Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Oretta Pentecostal Church of Singer, LA (Oretta Community) with Rev. Dustin Rose and Pastor Author Hemmenway officiating. Visitation will be at Oretta Pentecostal Church on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 5:00-9:00pm. Visitation will resume at the church on Saturday, from 10:00am until the time of the service.
