He loved working with his dad for Gearen Water Well, along with fishing when he had time. He was constantly joking with people, and everyone loved him.
He is survived by his father Dempsey “Old Man” Gearen, Sr.; brother Dempsey W. Gearen, Jr; mother-in-law Zilda Vincent; along with many nieces and nephews. Randy is preceded in death by his loving wife Jon Marie Gearen; mother Martha Gearen, and sister Lynn Dugas.
A Graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Perkins Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 5:00-9:00pm at Hixson Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy and will resume on Sunday from 12:00pm until the procession to the cemetery.
