Ruby D. Fondal

DeQuincy - Ruby D. Fondal, 79, passed away on Sunday February 24, 2013 in a local hospital.

She was a member of First Church of God in Christ in DeQuincy. Mrs. Fondal retired as a custodian for the Calcasieu Parish School Board at DeQuincy Elementary School. She loved fishing, crocheting and cooking for her family.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Edward "Bo" Fondal of DeQuincy; son, Keith Fondal and wife Brinder of New Caney, Tx.; godson, Stephfon Walton and wife Debra of Cary, N.C.; daughter, Dorothy Skinner-West of Ft. Worth, Tx.; sister, Leola Gilbert of Kirbyville, Tx.; 3 grandchildren, Claiborne Skinner and Tara West of Ft. Worth, Tx and Kemoshia and husband Jonathan Brandon of Sulphur; 2 great grandchildren; Myles Brandon and Camille Brandon of Sulphur.

Her homegoing service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the First Church of God in Christ. Pastor Johnathan Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Community Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Snider Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9 a.m. until service time at the church.
