Sheila Kay Lisotta, 48, met her Savior face to face on Monday, August 4, 2025 at DeRidder Retirement & Rehab, where she had been a resident. She was born to her parents, Audrey 'Kay' Lonidier and Robert Dale Statum on July 25, 1977, in Sulphur, Louisiana.
Sheila found fulfillment in being a mother to her most precious daughter and praising her savior. Her testimony is how she loved. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
At the age of 24 years old, the careless actions of a drunk driver took away her ability to live independently. With the constant care and attention from the staff of the DeQuincy Care Center and the DeRidder Retirement & Rehab, Shelia found a new joy and was happily crowned “The BINGO Queen”; we extend our gratitude to both facilities for their dedication to her care.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her daughter, Ambreah Lisotta of Crowley, Louisiana; her brothers, Billy Wayne (Veronica) Statum of Starks, Louisiana and Elie (Sonda) Statum of St. Charles, Virginia; and her sister, Jenny (Herman) Greer also of St. Charles, Virginia. Also surviving are her aunts and uncles, both far and near, include: Thomas (Renee) & Ben (Linda) Statum, Charles (Vicky), Robert (JoLane), & Pammy Lonidier, Bob Green (Sharon), Sharon Green, Gene (Mary) Martin; her much loved grandfather, Douglas 'Grandpa Lonnie' Lonidier. She was also known proudly by “She-She” to many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandmother, Gloria Lonidier; aunts, Janie Keeler, Tammy Lonidier, Marie Rainwater and Charlotte Schmidt; her biggest cheerleader, Mary 'Grandma Butch' Lonidier; and her beloved 'MamMaw' Margaret Statum.
A Celebration of Sheila’s life will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 11:00 am, with Pastor Steve Taylor officiating. Visitation will begin prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 am.
Services entrusted to Jordan and Amanda Mothershed of Hixson-Snider Funeral Home.
