I worked for Regensteiner Publishing Enterprises for about fifteen years ending in 1977.  Gordon was a fixture during that time and capable of building almost anything.  About 1975 I acquired a dishwasher sized chest made my Gordon for a workstation on the sixth floor of the 1224 W. Van Buren building, when that area was being remodeled.  The chest was never the best looking piece of furniture, but it was extremely well built and very utilitarian.  I store hardware in it, and for some reason, it's always been in the bedroom.  The chest moved to Florida with me in 1977 and was one of the few pieces of furniture moved.  I've lived in four different states, and probably twice that many residences, in the last 40 years, and the chest has always gone with me.  It's a little worse for wear now, but it's still in the bedroom and still holds hardware.  Consider this a tribute to the man that built it.
