WATKINS, Andrew - Age 55, of Lansing (formerly Lapeer and Lewiston), died Friday, January 11, 2021. Andy was born in Flint, MI on March 20,1965 to Larry and Teresa (White) Watkins. He graduated from Lapeer West High School, class of 1983. He served in the Army from 1983 to 1987, earning multiple expert service ribbons and badges. He then attended Michigan State University, graduating in 1991. Following college, Andy worked as a carpenter throughout the state, ultimately specializing in construction of log homes while living in Lewiston, MI. He became a commercial truck driver in 2015 and was proud to have driven through all 48 contiguous states. He loved fishing for walleye and stealhead throughout northern Michigan with his brother and friends. He is survived by his twin brother Timothy (Shannon) Watkins of DeWitt, and Missy (Curt) Arnold of Larkspur, CO, his nieces Sydney (Andrew Garafalo) Watkins of DeWitt, Cassidy and Reilly Arnold, and two great nieces Sawyer and Clarke Garafalo. Andy was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial will not be held due to the pandemic.
