Angela Cowan was born July 21, 1968 and went to be with the Lord on March 21, 2020 at her home in Dewitt, Michigan. Angela is survived by her parents, Robert Cowan and William Fritch and preceded in death by her mother Linda Fritch. Also survived by her siblings, Stacy & Rick Newman, Brian Cowan, Justina Cowan & Ken, John & Jennifer Cowan and Kelly & TJ Petersen. Nieces & Nephews along with their Children, Shaun & Pam Jackson (Vivian & Dominic), Samantha & Mike Knapp (Evan & Macey), Spencer Jackson & Erin, Victoria Cowan & Joe & Andrew Cowan & Hailee, Casey & Erik Martens (Justyce, Isabella, Mason, Ethan, Victoria), Mckayla Driver & Spencer (Landyn, Weston & Koda), Bobby Sullivan, Griffin & Peyton Cowan, Hannah, Madison and Aiden Petersen, Her Aunt Karen & David Robinson and many more family members along a very dear friend Michelle Smith.

Angela was a graduate from Dewitt High school in 1986 and from there she received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Northwood University. She was employed by AIG as a Workers Comp Adjuster for over 23 years and worked a second job at Franks Press Box for over 20 years.

As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. Her love will forever remain in the lives and hearts of all who knew her. Above all we give thanks for the life of a woman we all loved so dearly. The unique, the complex, the extraordinary and irreplaceable “Angie” whose beauty, both internal and external, will never be extinguished from our minds.

“Whatever your cross, whatever your pain, there will always be sunshine, after the rain… Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall; But Gods always ready, to answer your call… He knows every heartache, sees every tear, a word from his lips, can calm every fear… Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night, but suddenly vanish, by dawns’ early light… The savior is waiting, somewhere above, to take you home for mama to love.”

A memorial will be planned and announced later this spring or early summer for all to attend to celebrate her life.

I have so many wonderful memories of Angie although I hadn’t seen her in quite sometime I always considered her a friend. I spent a lot of time at the Cowan/ Fritch household as a teenager and Angie was like a little sister. She was a kind and caring soul and will be dearly missed. My heart goes out to her entire family. Heaven has definitely gained a special angel. Rest In Peace my with your momma my dear friend 💔

Angie was a mother figure in my life for a large portion of my childhood, and for that I am forever grateful. I have many memories with Angie from my childhood- from her singing along, as loud as can be to her favorite songs in the car, to being amazed by her artwork around the house and wanting to be as good as her. Angie was the type of person who would do anything for anyone (even if you were a bratty preteen like me), she was completely selfless and only thought of others. Angie was truly an amazing human, who is loved by everyone and will be missed greatly. I only wish I would have kept in contact after all these years. Never take the people put in your life for granted, you never know when your last goodbye will be.
