Anna was born to the late Ethel B. (Alward) and Ernest D. Acker February 8, 1927 in St. Louis, MI. After her father’s death Ethel married Ira Watson, who adopted Anna and her siblings.
Anna was united in marriage to Robert C. Parkhurst on January 14, 1945 in McBain, MI. They had two daughters, Sharon and Starr. After Robert’s death, Anna married Robert L. Pryor of Clare, MI on December 10, 1955. They had a daughter, Rose and a son, Robert (Chuck).
Anna met her first love while riding her bicycle and her second while roller skating. She was a hard worker who instilled this ethic into her children. She worked as a telephone operator in McBain until they moved to Clare, where she later worked for the Giant Supermarket until her retirement. Anna and Bob enjoyed spending time in Lake City, MI in their retirement home on Lake Missaukee until they returned to Clare. She was lovingly called Granny Annie by her grandchildren.
Anna is survived by her children, Sharon A. (Jerry) Russell, Starr A. (Chuck) Mayes, Rose M. (David C.) Ferguson, R. Chuck (Teresa) Pryor; 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husbands, and three grandchildren.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation with a private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
