Arletta Marie Shank

Arletta passed away on April 23, 2012. She was born in Lansing, Ingham County, Michigan on May 31, 1923, the daughter of Clifford and Veva Weck. At nine days of age Arletta was adopted by Ray and Bessie Sypher. Arletta was predeceased by both her biological parents and adoptive parents; spouse, Adin Kenneth Shank; and son, Larry Lee Shank. Surviving are sons, Art (Maureen ) Shank, and Adin R. (Jean) Shank; daughter, Shelia (Jerry) Parsons; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. Arletta was a member of Valley Farms Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Valley farms Baptist Church, 1141 E. State Rd., Lansing, MI. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI 48820.
