Arlo was born on May 20, 1944 in East Grand Rapids, Michigan to Arlo and Margaret (Metcalf) Pickens and died on December 19, 2011 In Lansing, Michigan, at the age of 67. He had worked for the American Red Cross for many years until his retirement in 2002. Arlo loved the outdoors and enjoyed both hunting and fishing. He loved his dogs Peanut and Shadow but especially he loved his family. He is survived by his loving wife Marilyn; daughter Chris Ann Pickens; brothers Steven (Melissa) Pickens and Scott (Teresa) Pickens; sisters Sue Pickens (Deena), Nannette Pickens and Debra (Gary) Parks and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 12:00 noon at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt MI 48820.
