Betty Lou Keener

Betty Lou Keener, 85, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 18, 2017 in Lansing, Michigan. Born November 22, 1931 to Robert and Gertrude (Lamb) Monroe and raised in Webberville, Betty and her husband Odell Keener moved to DeWitt to raise their family. A constant caregiver and homemaker, Betty enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, cooking, and reading when she had a few minutes to herself.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Keener, in 1986.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, William “Bill” Keener, Jim Keener, Ron (Norma) Keener, and Ken (Joy) Keener; her daughters, Nancy Soules, Linda (Mike) Lichte, Mary Keener, Tammy Uribe, and Lisa (Brian) Smith; her twenty-six grandchildren; her many grandchildren; her brother, Robert E. Monroe II; and her sister, Norma “Polly” Winter.

Interment will be in Eastlawn Memory Gardens in Okemos, Michigan.
