

Bruce Larry Peake of St. Johns passed away at his home on 11/2/25 at 73 years old. Born in Lansing, MI to Kenneth & Carolyn Barbara (Ellis) Peake on April 4, 1952. He was a GM retiree in 2004. He loved fishing, hunting, watching nature at home, camping, trail riding, and being with family. He was a hard working, helpful grumpy ole man that was loved by so many people, famous for "It ain't easy being me".
He is survived by his children, Valerie Boling (Sean Garcia), Aimee (Ray) Burgess, and Jacob Cooper; grandchildren, Brooke (Dewey) Baker, Megan David, Wyatt David, Shelby Burgess, Ethan (Sequana) Burgess, Savannah (Corey) Mergenthaler, Destiny Burgess, Oliviya (Oscar) Mejia, Spencer Garcia, Savannah Clark, Landon Myers, Jordan Cooper and great-grandchildren: Jamie Baker, Kaleb Burgess, Guillermo Mejia, Luca Vollmer, Layton & Leo Clark. Also survived by siblings Linda Ertle; Barb (Doug) Rossow, Alan (Lorna) Peake and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Anne Peake; sons-in-law, James Boling & Todd David; parents, Kenneth & Carolyn Barbara Peake; brother-in-law, Wray Ertle and more. We will have a private memorial in the summer of 2026 to celebrate his life. Live, Love, Laugh
