Bruce was a 1969 graduate of Eastern High School. He worked 35 years for General Motors and retired in 2005. Bruce had many interests, hobbies, and things that made this crazy little man smile. His greatest Joy was his FAMILY! Bruce enjoyed boxing (at Rock Steady), motorcycling, and classic cars. He also loved the great outdoors…especially hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.
He was preceded in death by his father; and uncles, Donald and Eldon Phelps. Surviving to cherish his memory are his mother; wife of 50 years, Susan; daughters, Kristie (Ryan) Recker, Heather Phelps, Amy (Adam) Bertram; grandchildren, Lanie (Tyler) Horton, Lanndon Rose, Logan (Blakelyn) Rose, Sienna Recker, Skylar Rickley, Saylar Rickley, Alivia Phelps, Adaline Bertram, Anderson Bertram; great grandchildren, Connor Horton, Liam Rose; and brother, Todd (Jayne) Phelps.
Visitation will be Wednesday February 26 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt. The funeral service will take place Thursday, February 27 at 11:00 am, with visitation from 10:00 am till 11:00 am at the funeral home. Bruce will be laid to rest at Gunnisonville Cemetery.
