Carol Jean Young

Carol Jean (CJ) Young was born on February 18, 1954 in Alma, Michigan the daughter of Lynn and Gladys Cratsenburg, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2018 at her home in Crystal, Michigan. Carol attended Holt High School where she met the love her life. On October 23,1971 she married Bruce Alan Young and together they raised 2 daughters, Rachel and Leigh and enjoyed 46 years of marriage together. She was a member of the North Star golf course and loved golfing with her husband, sister and friends. She cherished her children, her grandchildren and especially her furry son, Coz.

Carol will be lovingly remembered by her parents Lynn and Gladys; her beloved husband, Bruce; daughters, Rachel (Ben) Bodwin, Leigh Anderson; grandchildren, Erika (Jesse) Watson, Kyle Anderson, Jayden Engle, Justin Engle, Brianna Anderson, Jaelyn Bodwin, and Jackson Bodwin; sisters, Cheryl (Brian) Haley, Beth Cratsenburg, Barb (Marv) Litwiller; brother, Jim (Sharon) Cratsenburg; and many special nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Visitation for Carol will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington Street, Dewitt, MI. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
